Can i order from the US mac app store while i'm on holiday overseas with a locally bought iTunes gift card?

That's a good question. I don't know if the iTunes card has to be in the same currency as the store you're using. In other words, if you buy an iTunes gift card while in the UK, would it be accepted at the US store since the card would be denoted in UK currency not US. Probably a good question to direct to Apple customer support.

I don't think the cards work for purchases in one country when the cards were purchased elsewhere unless something has changed recently. About two years ago I purchased several iTunes cards from a coworker who had no use for them. She purchased them here in the US to give to someone internationally (UK I think). They tried using the cards but could not so she ended up selling them to me.
