Did Sierra make my cursor occasionally blow up in size for a moment?

Since I upgraded to Sierra, my cursor momentarily blows up to about five times its normal size occasionally when I move it. I know it's trying to tell me something -- I just don't know what it is.

Are you using a Magic Trackpad with your iMac, Magic Mouse, or only a normal mouse? It sounds like you are activating a gesture which is why I ask.

My cursor does that when it thinks I'm shaking the mouse to see where the cursor is.

That is a normal function that happens when you shake the mouse so you can see the cursor. If you go to System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Display. You can adjust the size of the cursor and there is a check box that allows shaking the mouse to increase the cursor size temporarily to locate it. Uncheck that box and the cursor increasing will stop.

Well, who would have thunk it? I grew up on mainframes which wouldn't shake no matter what you tried.

Thanks for the info.
