Just been to a boot sale and for £10 i got a mac been playing with but its old

I took the lid off and its got 16mb ram and a 250mb! HDD and a 68040 processor
just cannot wait to get my mini mac only 2weeks left
can someone tell me can I
Play DVD's and burn CD's from the box ie plug it in and play a DVD?
or do i need to but new software for it?
