DVD disc not verified after burn session?

Hi, I have a Windoze PC as well as my Mac G5, and they are connected up via network.

I copied important files over to the mac and burnt them off onto DVD discs.

Each time the task was completed this error message appeared on my G5 desktop:

error: this disc could not be verified so it is unreliable, please insert another disc and try again.

I checked out the discs the PC and the contents were all there as one would hope, but when I insert the disc into the Mac there is no disc image on the desktop and I have to restart to eject the disc.

What does this mean? What did I do wrong?

The files are readable on my PC so I'm happy but why is the Mac pedantic??

Not sure why the discs aren't burning properly, but there's a nice little script on Versiontracker called "ejector seat" that'll save you a restart & at least pop out your disc for you. What kind files are you trying to burn?
