I'm giving up. I really don't know how I even got the Weather HD+. Last week the App Store notified me of an update to my Weather App. So I downloaded the 3.5.0. Then a week later another update to 3.6.0 which didn't work. I'm finding out that I originally had Living Weather HD. I just downloaded and installed it and it WORKS!!! I did have to pay $2.99, but at this point I don't care. It's a Christmas gift to me. I'm just confused as to why I was notified of an upgrade to Weather HD+ when it wouldn't work.

Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.

Well not meaning to knock the little guys but maybe you should look at an alternative app with better support. Support ( or the lack of) has been a deciding factor in my choice of software for many years.

This may be true, but I've been using this app for years with no issues until they decided to upgrade to the "+" app which I can't understand because it apparently isn't compatible to with the Mavericks OS.

I'm with Rod here regarding the lack of support, and with this one you got a double whammy for that; the developer AND Apple's iTunes!!

Interesting that it does say: "Compatibility: OS X 10.9 or later, 64-bit processor"

But that's useless if it doesn't work and it doesn't seem to have much added for an update, so I'd go back to the older version that did.

I did go back to the version I had, but I couldn't just go back and just reinstall it. I had to start from scratch, install it, and pay another $2.99 + tax. These people actually owe me $2.99. If I knew the "+" program wasn't compatible with my computer, I wouldn't have downloaded it in the first place. The App store shouldn't have listed it as an update. I was happy with the version I had. Everything is working perfect now, but it's too bad I was screwed out of $2.99+tax.

Update: I just found something interesting. I went into my I-tunes account and under purchased, I found a purchase on 10/29/3013 for Weather HD+ ver. 3.6.0. This is wrong. I purchased Living Weather HD ver. 3.2.0. on that date. Version 3.6.0 wasn't available then. It was supposedly an update to 3.2.0 - first to 3.5.0 on 11/16/2016 then on 11/24/2016 another update to 3.6.0 which totally messed me up. I think this is the reason why I just couldn't reinstall the 3.2.0. It isn't in my account anymore.

I'm getting a refund, but it took a lot of explaining on my part. No where on My Purchases in the App Store does it show I purchased Living Weather HD when I know I purchased it a few years ago. It does show I purchased Weather HD+ ver. 3.6.0 on 10/29/2013. Thats impossible!. I got the "+ version by being alerted there was an update available in the APP store which I downloaded and it didn't work. For some reason this must have deleted my original version of the weather app. because it is no where to be found. I explained to them that all I wanted was to get my original weather app back, Living Weather HD, ver. 3.2.0, which I originally paid for. So I had to pay again to download it. I can't understand how this happened. So now I'm happy. I'm getting a refund and my weather app works perfectly.

Good to hear and nice that you got it all sorted out and working properly.

It sounds like they're now using the new "+" name with the old app's name.

I received an email today from Vorosinnovation and was told that the config. file got corrupted and all was fixed now. He gave instructions how to delete that file and download the Weather HD+ again. Everything is working with the older version so I'm leaving everything alone. I'm just afraid of more hassles.

Sounds like a good idea unless you need any of the "features" of the later version:

What's New in Version 3.6.0
+ updated for macOS Sierra
+ added weather scenes
+ added Touch Bar support to quickly select between the weather forecast location, open hourly forecast and app preferences

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/weather-hd+-forecast-live/id572356996?mt=12

Not exactly much to be excited about!!! :\

I'm not impressed. I'm satisfied with what I have.

There was an update for the weather Living Weather app, so I downloaded it because it appeared to be a new version and it didn't have "+" in the title. Same problem. Strange since the company said they corrected the issue. Unless it's just my computer. The same error message appeared. I deleted the config file because this was the instructions they previously sent. Didn't work. They said the config file was corrupted. I can't even go back to my original older version. So then I downloaded another Voros Innovation weather app. Same thing. None of their apps work and now I can't even go back to the older one because it's no where to be found. I'm done with this. I downloaded another weather app from another company and it works great. At least I was able to get a refund earlier from Veros Innovations.

Glad to hear you have finally resolved this. Too bad you had to give up on the Veros stuff but whatever works best for you with the least amount of "gray hair". BTW, I searched for quite some time before I settled on a good weather app for my iPhone. You would think all weather apps were alike. ;D
