I have to post this here because the Libreoffice help website won't let me post my question. Every time I click on 'ask your question' it takes me to the top of the 'ask your question page.' These folks need to work on this.

I like the app, but there are some things that are frustrating. One of them is trying to insert a special character. It's tedious to have to choose it from the menu and then click on insert. There has to be a way of using keystrokes to do it, but I can't figure it out. I read something about using the unicode combinations for each special character, but I just don't get it.

They really need to work on their help menus and such.

Has anyone else tried to do this, and if so can you help me out?

I wrote some step by step instructions for entering Unicode on the Mac. I'll try to find it. It's on iphoneforums.net. Slydude linked to it from his Sunday chat show notes a few weeks ago.
