That 5K cinema display sounds great especially if it has built in graphics. If that's true, it's probably going to be an expensive display. :$

My Acer laptop is getting disfunctional. I consider getting a new model of another brand. That is why I'm interested in seeing what the new Macbook can offer.

The rMBP is definitely coming and I have "confirmation" about the OLED bar, so that'll be interesting to see how that plays with applications and if it will indeed do what people think it will do within applications.

I am hoping for a new MacBook Air. I am using a 2013 version now but I could use a new machine.

Prevailing rumors are MBA and MBP. The 11" MBA might get retired. There is also thought that the MBA might be completely let go next year in lieu of the new Macbook that was introduced since they are competing for the same customers.

The iMac and any display refreshes are delayed until early next year. So this event is just for the Notebooks..

Hey Ashwin...

That's a good thing for me. At the end of the year I have to pay my property taxes, home owners insurance, and auto insurance. And of course the money spent on Xmas presents, etc. In other words, I'm usually broke by then. LOL. So next Spring sounds good. ;)

I am sure many won't care, but I still think it was unwise to ditch the MagSafe power jack.

Well, Apple has managed not only to totally underwhelm, but deliver another badly hobbled product that isn't fit for purpose. It's like they're trying to push switchers back to Windows. <sigh>
