Microsoft is waiting for them with their new Surface book! :D Grin

Microsoft just had their event also.

I know. I just find everything Apple releases to be so frustrating anymore. I used to be excited. Now, I'm just looking for what stupid answer to a question no one ever asked, will be their next "big thing".

The Surface book is interesting and might be great for some but it's very much like new Macs with no upgradeable anything, so same boat. Soon you will have to buy a heavy gaming laptop to get a machine you can work with!

Well, Apple has managed not only to totally underwhelm, but deliver another badly hobbled product that isn't fit for purpose.

Like Chris, I am totally underwhelmed by today's offerings. And I find the prices for the 13" machines are high even for Apple. What the heck is Apple thinking? I can hardly wait to see what "new innovation" ($$$) Apple is going to give us with a new iMac and retina display next year. :Grimmace:

Not smart Tim. Sales (and profits) dipping Q3 and everything dearer and no updated iMac. Confirms iDevices are much more important to Apple than computers nowadays.

The pundits of Wall Street agree with you Harry. Apple is going to wind up selling more iPhones this year than ever. And with Samsung shooting themselves in the foot with their exploding phones, Apple is raking it in. Although their profits are down from last year. Go figure?

I read the coverage on the Apple Event on Anandtech. So many upset people there taking pot shots!

Well I have one :D Grin

They took off the Lighted apple from the lid! Sacrilege! :D Grin

But on a more serious note, I will miss that lighted apple. It makes Macs stand out at Starbucks! :D

What that article doesn't explain is that the new MBP will power-on when the lid is opened if it was previously powered off. If it was just put to sleep it will just wake up like it traditionally has done. So with this new change, having the chime come on was likely deemed annoying, so it's a quiet boot up.

The lack of the chime is no biggie for me..

How do you hear the sound when you reset the PRAM?
