Say I have a movie I want to burn. What is the best/easiest program that will simply convert the movies I have and then burn it to dvd or do whatever needs to be done to burn it? I've only burned 1 dvd a year ago on my moms laptop so Im not familiar with the process.
Thanks.

MacTheRipper is the best Ripping program on OSX that I have seen.

A great Burning program for any kind of burning is Roxio Toast 7. It will also shrink the DVD files to fit on a standard 4.7GB Blank like DVD Shrink does. So you need MacTheRipper to rip it to the Hard Drive and Toast 7 will do the rest. MacTheRipper is Free and Toast can sometimes be purchased for $79.

mac the ripper, or you could use Handbrake and/or Handbrake lite. Both great programs, used them. Handbrake lite's a bit easier.

Toast for burning, definately.

Roxio is beta testing a universal binary of Toast, but it's not open for everyone to use.

To burn a movie to a dvd, I use iDVD. If your movie can play in Quicktime, iDVD can convert the file for DVD, encode everything and burn it.
