Printing impossible

Hi there,

I recently had to delete some files to make space on my g4 (powerbook 400, 10GB...) and now have the problem that printing has become impossible.
The Icon for monitoring the printigin process in the menue bar does not come up when I try to print. Also, when I go onto "printers" in "System preferences" I can still see my printer (hp 5550), but when I click on "set up printers" nothing happens.
Has anybody any suggestion how I can repair this problem? Thanks!!

in the utilities folder, there should be a printer setup utility of some sort, open it, and set up your printer there. what kind of printer is it?
