I was sent a family photo and it is in iPhoto....the names of the people in the photo are listed on the right hand side. Is there a way to put the names of the people listed on the faces in the photo? I was told you can do this but I cannot figure out how..

Is Photos on Mavericks?

Yosemite 10.10.3 and later only. Mavericks would have iPhoto not Photos.

Hi Redskin..... - I'm assuming that you are on Mavericks and Photos is not available to you - my MBPro has both iPhotos & Photos (result of upgrading OS X), but I've not tried adding text to images in iPhoto, so cannot advise. However, you have Preview and by bringing the image(s) desired into that native app, text can be added easily - see the image below which I posted in a forum during the Olympics - all of the girls names were added by me - if that is what you want to do, then check out Preview - if you need help, then just ask. Dave :)

P.S. welcome to the forum!
