External hardrive

Hi guys!!! i just switch from pc to mac. i just want to ask how can i format my external hard drive so i can use it both in pc and mac? can you guys help me pls?

FAT32. Use the application called "Disk Utility" in the "Utilities" folder of your Applications.

Formating External Hard Drive: Finder (no)help

Another cracked egg in Finder > Help.

For Search> 'Format external hard drive' the only result that comes up is:

'Types of CD and DVD media that you can burn'. Helpfullness = 0

Just to let Apple know.
