I've been using the factory 1TB HDD that came with my Mac Pro and after purchasing a Macbook Pro with and SSD, I just can't believe the speed difference. This is the first time I've upgraded my Mac Pro, so forgive me for my ignorance. Does the Mac Pro only support certain hardware? After some research, I found this SSD that is reasonably priced and nicely reviewed: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IAGSD5O/?tag=macforums0e4-20

Would this SSD support OS X? Do you guys suggest an SSD other then the one I posted? If so, I'd appreciate some references.

Here are my specs:
Mac Pro (Mid 2012)
3.33 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon
32 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB

Right, but for the drive to fit into your Mac Pro, it needs the adapter to fit into the 3.5" bay.
