Windows OS's have 'Paint' a simple painting program that you can use or to import photos and write on them with text. For me, that came in handy.

Does OSX have a built in 'paint' program or is there one out there fro intel mac?

I could not find Graphic Converter in my Applications list or under the Utilties folder.

Appleworks I don't have so I might have to try Rita and see how that is.

Graphic Converter does NOT come with OSX.

He never said anything about it not coming with a computer's software bundle, but it is not included in the OS itself.
