Since my superdrive single layer is quite outdated on my powerbook, I'm looking to upgrade and purchase an external DL dvd-burner, preferrably firewire. Does anyone know of a good external dl dvd burner that they have experience with for a mac?

thanks a bunch, I hope this was the right section to post in

I have a great Iomega but its USB 2.0 (Which is still faster than firewire). Its full name is Iomega Super DVD. It does DL but I've never tried it using DL. I think Iomega sells a newer model of it now.

I would go with a LaCie firewire DVD burner.

Yeah. LaCie DVD burner would be a good choice.
