TiBook submersed in water: Can I put the hardrive in a Powerbook G3?

My Powerbook G4 got burned out by submersion in water. I put my hard drive in
an old Powerbook G3 and can access the drive when I boot from a CD but it will
not boot from the G4 hard drive (I get the OSX silver Apple but no circular loading
bar). Anything I can do to get it to boot?

Also, the problem with my TiBook is it will not even power up. The battery is
fully charged but the monitor does not turn on nor does it even chime. I'm trying
to get my files and photos off and music onto an iPod before I leave for the Peace
Corps Any advice about this would also be greatly appreciated.

Good luck...
Best bet is to find a good friend with a G4 book that you can drop the HD into. Maybe they'll help you at an Apple Store nearby?

I went to an Apple store just a few days ago... They were extremely helpful. I bet they'd be willing to help you get the data off of the drive.
