What mac for running Blender?

First post here, sorry if not right section for this question but couldnt find anywhere else it might fit.

Im good with Pcs but not so great with Macs.

Im an IT volunteer for an organisation that takes care of adults with disabilities and we need a computer to run Blender, a 3d modelling app to teach games design skills.

We need a mac that meets these requirements:

Recommended hardware
64-bit quad core CPU
8 GB RAM
Full HD display with 24 bit color
Three button mouse
OpenGL 3.2 compatible graphics with 2 GB RAM

How would i go about finding a mac that meets these hardware requirements?
I am looking for the cheapest build that meets these requirements.

Get yourself an older Mac Pro desktop computer. A Mac Pro 3,1 or better. Get yourself a quad-core or an 8-core model.

p.s. By the way…you should also specify what OS version is required as well.

Does it have to be quad core? I've never had trouble running it on my core 2 duo iMac. Of course 16 gig memory and regular graphics.

Appears that OP posted "Recommended Hardware"…looks like lower specs are possible.

Link also mentions OS 10.6 & above.
