I have an older imac (circa 2009) core 2 duo. I use it for my bedroom media center. I normally run video with mplayer from my nfs mount of my nas. It works fine on the main 17" display. I was trying to use an external 27" via the mini dvi with hdmi adapter. The video audio is horrible out of sync when I do this. I use just mplayer with the following in the config
aspect=16:9
xineramascreen=1
It's not HD content I'm trying to play. Any ideas? Can the video card just not handle?
It seems to work fine when mirroring... so maybe it's just the higher resolution ...causing the issue?
