Working overtime and running much too slow with my Hughes Net service!! Often, as I move my mouse (nothing depressed) my "page" will move off to the right leaving a "carbon copy" of itself in place on my desktop! What is up with that? I have rebooted many times (regularly) and have ran "OnyX" and nothing seems to help. Also, almost all videos which I view on FB (or other) START immediately when they appear on my page???? Lots of other little problems too.
Any suggestions from you folks? I would truly appreciate any knowledgeable advice!!!!

Not 100% sure what's going on…especially since you mentioned rebooting and running Onyx.

You don't have anything "silly" installed like MacKeeper…or anti-virus apps do you?

You could also try downloading & running "Malwarebytes".

A rather un-nerving silence to your rather critical question Nick… ;)

Perhaps but very pertinent questions.

pigoo3 Thanks for the note. I will never have MacKeeper for certain - but I do have Norton av installed. However, it has been on here for some time and my problem only recently increased tremendously! I looked in my apps for OnyX to run it and lo and behold, no ONYX!! So I downloaded it and ran - and no help at all? About the only other thing I know is to run Disk Utility and that renders no help at all. Do you think I do not need Norton?

Also, (I just noticed!) that "Finder" is taking forever (!) to open - and I have the dreaded "paint wheel" while it is doing so. Plus, it seems that most of my pictures have been duplicated and have the same extensions plus "alias" at the end of the ext. I'm thinking my Mac has some bad problems! BTW, I did download Malwarebytes and ran it! More later on that.

Thanks

Exactly what Mac model do you have? What are it's specs?

Thanks for any help you may offer. These "Paint Balls" and blue spinning wheels are driving me crazy

Promises…promises!;)

I think it could be the 110.11.3, El Capitan, I hear it's a brutal version that can make even the latest and fastest Mac succumb to those "Paint Balls" and blue spinning wheels among other things … ;)

"About This Mac" says that it is 10.11.3 is all that I know. I must do something to clear things up tho. Another Apple App maybe?

Current version of OSX is 10.11.4. Maybe try that?

I think that you may have missed my point in my post from earlier today.;) You never told us the results of running Malwarebytes. Maybe you know the results…but you didn't tell us. Can't help if we don't know the results of the things we suggest.;)
