I updated the OS to "El Capitan" about 6 months ago - the worst thing I have ever done to my Mac. Mail, excel, word, etc. all take forever to open and then freeze and crash constantly. Wish I had never done it.

Countless others did that update and have had absolutely no issues at all. If you just want to vent, by all means have at it. If you actually want to get some help from us, how about giving us some information about your Mac so we have something to go on.
