My second TP Link POWERLINE extender has failed following a period of several days when it was on all the time. I am looking for a more robust solution. I use a standard modem linked to Airport Extreme.

I have a pair of standard TalkTalk extenders which have been in daily use for several months. You could try setting them up again - the old switch off/switch on again trick.

Wifi extenders

SOLVED. I unplugged the 'transmitter' and plugged it in again. That must have been where the fault lay because everything is now working again.

GREAT! Like routers, modems, & computers, sometimes a 'reboot' (or power cycle) will clear out the cobwebs - :) Dave
