For some reason when i insert sd card the photos go direct to iphoto ,while before this i would click on card icon on desk top and it would tell me how many New photos are on card and if i wanted to upload .Know i have to click on card icon on desk top (noname) and displayes DCIM file that i have to open,and have no choice as to upload photos or not.

Next time you insert a SD card with photos on it, just de-select the option to open with iPhoto. I have all my devices set that way as I do not like my photos automatically going to the Photos library. After removing that option you can direct your photos to where you want them to go.
