Mac Mini asking for Keyboard and mouse

Hi,
I recently bought a new mac mini. I have an iMac, macbook air, macbook pro, iPads, iPhones so you could say I am a fan. I want to set up my mac mini as a media centre attached to my TV. This works great apart from at every boot it searches for keyboard and mouse. Now I used to have apple tv until it recently broke so I have the remote which works fine but I just want to stop it asking for keyboard and mouse. Any ideas on how I can achieve this (I don't really want to plug a usb kb and mouse in and hide them behind the TV). Please don't anybody suggest the cheaper apple tv as if my wife sees that I am a dead man !!!

Darn!! I don't know if it would work but I got an email earlier that I've since trashed as it's gone permanently, but it was basically software to use your existing keyboard as a keyboard for an iDevice, iPhone, iPad or Apple TV etc. And darned if I can recall it's name.

Maybe try some searches at http://macupdate.com/ which I think may have been the site the email came from.

It seems from what you say, it just might work for you and your situation.

PS: I didn't notice if a wired or wireless keyboard was required. I use (and prefer) an extended wired Apple keyboard if you're anything like me.
