Hi,
After being burned by FileZilla with Malware I am weary to use it again. However, I simply must have an FTP tool since I am a web designer.
Does El Capitan have a built in FTP tool that will enable me to do all the same things that FileZilla would? If not, can anyone recommend an excellent FTP tool besides FileZilla to use?
Thanks

Cyberduck is pretty solid as well.

If you use Firefox, there's also the FireFTP extension which always worked really well for me.

I also like Cyberduck. Transit is really good too. There's also Forklift.

IOW, depending on what you want to spend (free to $30 or so), there are plenty of good options.

Cyberduck is good for free but I bought Transmit years back and to me it was worth what I paid for it.

Thanks for the responses. All of the FTP suggestions look interesting. I have decided to use the free version of CyberDuck for now.

I use Transmit by Panic Software (panic.com) and have been using them for years with excellent results.

FTP has been built into the last several versions of OS X. I'm not sure why Apple doesn't tell people about this. It's a really cleanly implemented feature.

Go to the Finder by clicking on the Finder icon (the one with a face that is two-tone blue) in your Dock. (Or just click on your desktop if it is visible.)
In the Go menu choose Connect to Server,
and enter the FTP server's address. Click on Connect, or just hit Return.
You may get a dialog asking for a user name and password.
Once logged-in a new window will appear on your Mac's desktop for the FTP server
looking more or less just like a window for a folder on your hard drive.
Transfer files by simple drag and drop into and out of this window!
That's it.

If you want to add a bookmark to ‘Favorite Servers’ for repeated connections, click on the + icon next to the “Server Address” field.

It's handy if you only need to read files - OS X/macOS has never, AFAIK, supported writing (and this appears to still be the case with Sierra).
