Hello

I've put a Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB in my mid 2007 iMac. On the Samsung website it says that it supports TRIM. After installing the drive, I see that TRIM is not enabled. Is it necessary to activate this and how do I do this? I have El Capitan as OS.

Thanks!

On a soon to be nine year computer surprising the Samsung runs at all. Threads about this very drive not co-operating with pre-2009 MB and MBP becasue of its SATA III interface, so yours is a plus.

Apple enabled TRIM to run on factory fitted drives and not third party. Have a read of this:-
