I bought a IRDA USB adapter, It has mac drivers that I installed but then what, there is no options to send files from the computer. Can anyone tell me maybe how to fix this? I have a iBook w/10.4.5.

What is your intension?

Are you using it for a printer or a PDA or something else?

Does the device show up in the system profiler under USB?

Look in network preferences to see if it's listed as an interface.

Didn't the driver come a ReadMe file? All pertinent data should be there. Or maybe you installed incorrectly (sometimes, they ask you not to plug in the device until the driver is installed, etc.)? Did you check what Mac driver it was for, 'coz mebbe it was designed to run on OS 9 or something...

In the past, I tried to get an IRDA adaptor to work on my Mac, but had a lot of trouble acquiring a driver for OS X, so I just gave it up, and decided to use my PC as the docking station for my IRDA phone.
