Since the 12" iPad Pro (32gig WiFi only $799) was released yesterday…I wanted to get folks opinions/comparative views on the Samsung View 32gig 18" device WiFi only for $599.

For folks that aren't familiar with the Samsung Galaxy View…it was launched recently. Vital info:

- tablet like dimensions (mostly flat design)
- weighs 5.8 pounds
- 18" touch screen display
- runs Android OS
- has a special adjustable stand for tabletop or laptop use/viewing
- 8 hour battery life
- camera for video chats

My understanding is the Samsung View is supposed to be an 18" touch screen entertainment device that is moved from room to room so you can continuously stay connected with your entertainment viewing (Netflix, cable TV, You Tube, video chatting, etc.).

Of course it is also a perfectly capable device for checking email, internet browsing, and social networking.

So if you're working on the car in the garage, washing dishes, folding laundry, cleaning up the kitchen, living room, bedroom or bathroom, etc….you can move the Samsung Galaxy View from room to room as your at home schedule/chores demand...instead of being anchored to one room where the big-screen TV is mounted. FYI…the stand on the back of the Samsung Galaxy View has a slot in it for easy hand grabbing.

The 18" Samsung View at $599 is not really supposed to be "just another big tablet". What do you guys think of it?
