Can't Access App Store in order to dowload final El Capitan update

I didn't realize that my password was no longer recognized until I was told by Apple to use the app store to download GM SEEDS. The user name is recognized, but when I enter my password everything freezes up and I have do a forced quit. As far as I can tell the only thing affected is my password in the App Store, but it leaves me stuck in El Captan Beta1 and I can't complete the full instellation.

The admin password is different to the APPLE ID password. You may well have to Trash the Beta versions before going on to download the General Release which is why it is strongly suggested Betas be run on external drives or separate partitions of the main drive.
