Hey guys. Is there any way I can change the Restrictions password on my iphone? I know the existing one but want to change it to a new one.

You mention which will allow us you have. In OS 9 open Settings then choose Touch ID and Passcode. From there simply follow the on-screen directions.

ROTFL. No I wasn't. That's what happens when you don't catch a dictation error.

@JoshJ What I meant to ask was what version of the iPhone OS are you running? The directions I gave above are for iOS nine and IIRC also worked with iOS 8.

Hey Sly. Im on version 8.4 at the moment. I can access the Touch ID & Passcode settings you mentioned about but I dont want to change my passcode for the entire phone - I actually just want to change the passcode to the Restrictions settings. Is it possible to set a separate passcode for both the phone login and also for the Restrictions area?

If you turn Restrictions off then back on you will be asked for a new 4 digit password and then to confirm it. It can be whatever you like. Probably you originally put in your login password but you didn't have to. This is more obvious in iOS 9 because the login password is now 6 digits by default.

This is more obvious in iOS 9 because the login password is now 6 digits by default.

The 6 digit passcode is optional in iOS 9, it is not the default.
