Quick question for you Intel Mini owners - how long is the power cable from the power brick to the three-prong plug? I'm not talking about the length of the entire power cable, just the part that plugs into the wall and into the power brick. Thanks!

I'd say it's maybe an inch long- why?

It's not like the iBook or PowerBook chargers- it's like a normal plug.

The cable from the socket to the power brick that came with my mini was resonably long, a couple of feet or so, similar in length to what you would expect to find on a laptop power cable.

If you're after a precise measurement I'll have to take a tape measure to it over the weekend.

Update: Decided to mount the power cable/brick externally. Thanks everyone.

If you're still interested the cable is 1.6 meters in length.

Ah, thank you! I'm working a little Mac Mini project, but I've decided to go with the PSU externally mounted. Originally I was going to mount the brick inside the case and run the power cord from there to the wall, but the external mounting solution is, well, easier :)

Well, I won't say too much until I'm finished with it, but hopefully I should be the first person with a 10,000-rpm 2.16ghz Mini ;)

This wouldn't be a certain project you mentioned over at 123Macmini would it?
