MacCentral has a test that would be worth reading. They installed XP on a Intel mini and ran some comparisons with an Athelon/XP setup as well as Tiger on the mini. The performance results were very similar. The URL is: http://www.macworld.com/2006/03/firstlooks/xpmini/index.php. If you want just the performance info skip to the 3rd page and scroll about halfway down. While it's not about the MBP specifically it should give some insight into XP performance on MacIntels.

Very fast, actually. Photoshop test ran the fastest on MacBook Pro compared to many other Core Duo laptops. But beware, if you want to use it for gaming on Windows, it's a no-no at the moment. As of now, there are no proper drivers for the graphics card and therefore any intensive 3D gaming would be very problematic.

You might want to try the On Mac Forums which have a whole section dedicated to booting Windows XP on Macs. Searching there might provide some results too.
