After installing osx on my imac, I installed earthlink dial up. All was well. I have switched to comcast and can not get rid of earthlink! It seems to be in control. If I try to send an email, it starts to try to dial up and send it. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Have you contacted comcast? They can help you quickly and provide a walk through to change your config.

Are you setup to use the comcast cable modem?

I know you can disable the modem, I just can not find it at this time. :(

Comcast was NO help. At least the first two times. Sad to say.

The comcast cable modem is working just fine, just when I am on a site and wish to send an email (by clicking on support, for example) the email program seems to call up earthlink and it starts dialing on the disconnected phone line. There seems to be an attachment to earthlink and the email. I need to break this.
