Driving me nuts I'm getting swamped by so much Junk mail and the spam filters - either set by Apple or even my own defined Rules are missing so much of it.

For instance - if I select certain emails in my In Box as Spam the programme deletes them but still puts them in the In Box when future spam from the same source and with same headers come in.

Are there any upgrades planned or an I missing something in the settings?

The best way is by setting up Rules in Mail Preferences.

Mind you Junk mail is something we all have and get more and more of.

I've set up various Rules - but even they seem to be getting overwhelmed!

Who is your ISP? A good ISP should filter out most junk mail before it even gets to you. I receive very few spam mail messages, however, if I go to my ISP's (gmail) server and check, I can scan through all the junk mail they have filtered out for me. Sure, once in a while a valid message gets trapped along with the junk, but that's why you should check with your ISP.
