I recently had my car detailed and I wanted to upload pictures to a Detailing Forum I belong to. This is second nature to most of you, but I have not been able to figure out how to do it so my whole iPhoto library is not exposed.
I would like to do it in the most secure way possible, as these pictures stay on the net for ever.
Your advice/instructions is greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, your whole photo library will never be exposed. Uploading means moving a copy of a file to some server.
The process is completely dependent on the host server/forum - tell us who that is.

Make a duplicate of only those photos you wish to share with the forum and upload them. There's no reason to upload your entire photo library. I don't know what you mean by "secure", but you should know that nothing uploaded to the net is secure.

Thanks for the replies.
The forum is Autopia.org
I'm going to try and put a copy on my desktop and "choose a file" from there.

Just a few thoughts if you've not done much image posting: 1) Remember to crop and re-size your pics for appropriate posting - Preview can easily accomplish these goals; and 2) Forum software varies in 'how' images are placed into posts, e.g. an URL may be required meaning that your image(s) has to be stored online 'somewhere' - I use SmugMug which charges an annual fee while others, such PhotoBucket offer free image hosting; other options include uploading images directly from your computer as managed attachments; and both choices may be available (as in this forum). Dave :)

Just to follow up, I copied the photos to my desktop, re-sized them, and uploaded to the site successfully!
Thanks again for your advice.
