After some issues, I got my 2010 Macbook working again. I cloned my hard drive from my 2012 15 inch MPR and then placed the cloned drive to the 2010 Macbook. Things went ok for a couple days but then I started to get some user profile corruption issues. I decided to wipe the drive and installed Yosemite using a flash drive. I did this on my 2012 15 inch MBP Everything and went well, and the sold state drive works beautifully on the 15 inch. However, the 13 inch 2010 Macbook won't recognize it any more. It treats it as if it doesn't exist.

What can I do so the solid state is recognized once more on the 2010 Macbook?

What happens when you place the original drive back into the white 2010 MacBook? Is it seen?

Lot of heat makes the cable brittle, and changing the drive can cause fractures. When replacing the drive, replace the cable.
