I have an iPod 4th gen nano. I sync with iTunes, then disconnect, but iTunes remains locked and I can't close it. iTunes is up to date. Also, I can't reset the iPod.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Have you tried to Force Quit iTunes? (Command - Option - Escape) Try that and then reboot your Mac. Open iTunes again and see if it responds correctly and if you can re-set your iPod.

Thanks for your reply. I forgot to say that I'm doing this with a PC and have done the forced quit command, which made no difference.

OK, since you're on a PC, you might try uninstalling iTunes from Control Panel add remove programs (that should also clear Registry entries) and then reinstall it. There is no reason that iTunes should remain locked. Try the reinstall. Your music and other items will not be affected.

Hi, finally got around to your suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes on the PC. It didn't work, so no change.
Is there anything else I could try? Thanks
