Does anyone know how to change the durations of screensaver photos? I use a folder from Photos as screensaver. Currently it is set to 5 seconds. The next possible selection is 1 minute, which is too long. Is there any way about 7 or 8 seconds can be selected?

Well, there used to be a way. On my old OS (10.6.8) it's a slide from SLOW to FAST. If you're presented with incremental choices, I suspect the times chosen by the programmers are what you're stuck with.

And just why is one minute "too long"?

Thanks for your suggestion, but there is no slider that you mention. All there is option of various times. I have over 1000 photos in that folder. One minute for each photo will not be interesting. It looks like we are stuck with what has been programmed.

How much time per day do you spend just watching your Screen Saver cycle through those photos? ;)

Screensaver is one way of displaying my portfolio of photographs. I have two 27" monitors and people love to see the slide shows.

Instead of messing with a screen saver or wasting time displaying your photos from your Mac, just buy a nice digital picture frame and put it in a obvious place where all your visitors and family can see the photos. LINK

Apple's built-in screensavers have present and unalterable times as far as I can tell, but it should be a moment's search to find a third-party screensaver module that offers finer time controls.

+1!!

Or an old Mac or separate display on their own.
