I activated a program to delete all dulicate photos. This program put 7,000+ pictures in the waste basket. I tried deleted them all, but this did not work. Then I tried individually, and this is not working either. Any suggestions?

What happens when you try to delete the photos? Do you get any error messages? Does it just appear to just "hang" during deletion?
If it appears to hang let the process run for a while. Deleting 7000+ photos can take a long time - especially on a slower / older machine.

You could try to use Terminal and see if that works.
(careful though, if you make a typo it could do alot of damage)
