When I double click on a day in iCal to create a New Event the default of the pop up window always shows the Start Time as 9 AM to 10 AM. Is there a way to change this? (I know I can manually change it for each newly created event.)

I'm sure there's probably some arcane terminal preference fixing that would change that, but basically no. I haven't had to think about it in quite some time ... Calendar (hasn't been called iCal in a quite a while now) will just adjust the time automatically if you write something like "Lunch with Bob from 12pm to 2pm"

Yes, I am running 10.10.4 Yosemite and forgot that the app is now called "Calendar" and not "iCal". And I did not know it accepts natural language input. I learn something every day. Thanks!
