I'm running 10.4.5 on have Mail 2.0.1

Did this on my old system aswell, (10.4.3 Mail 2.0.1)

As part of my login items, I have Mail start up and have checked the box that says "Hide" so that it should hide automatically. The problem is that it doesn't!

This seemed to be fine on my old mac until i updated to tiger. Since the upgrade it won't hide.

It's not a major problem, but its really annoying to have to hide it everytime i start up!

anyone encountered this or have any thoughts?

Thanks guys!

i ran into the same problem so i wrote an applescript to start Mail and close the top window and added that in my login items. all the script says is:
Code:
tell application "Mail" to activate
tell application "Mail" to close the front window
just save it as an app and add it to your login items and it gives the same effect
