I used to have a Cisco router with USB storage on it and connected to it as a SMB server on reboot. I no longer have this router, but it keeps giving me an error when I reboot - still looking for it. How can I remove this?

Look in System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Your User Name -> Login Items. Your Cisco router should appear there and you can remove it by clicking on the lock and inputing your admin password and then click on the "-" sign.
