can't reboot my Mac

Hello everyone.... I have a mac book pro 15 inch, I want to reboot this mac book becausr i lost my password and i don t have recovery disc..... BUt when i press cmd + S it showed up BASH -3-2 # and i dont know what to do ... On youtube when they press that its showed up ROOT or something .... I have yosemite .... this is the second root i want to make.... AT first attemp it worked out... It was showing up the ROOT but now when i try i dont see that little title ROOT when i am supposed to write some commands .. it show me BASH -3-2# .. Please help me !! Sorry for my bad english but i did my best

This explains how to do it in simpler terms. Change the password and write ot down. This is for Administrator or standard password replacemnet. If you have FileVault (Encrypted Drive) you may be in for a trip to your Apple dealer:-
