I highlighted the pictures and videos on the memory card and dragged them to a new folder, as I always do. I then opened the folder to be sure they were there before dragging the pictures from the card to the trash. The next day, I opened the folder...nothing! I opened the trash, which had not been emptied, and again... nothing. I've searched for the pictures by "name" (DSC_6432) with n o result. I am not connected to the cloud. They must be somewhere...but where?
Lost pictures...where are they?

Without any further information from you, it's difficult to answer your question. Did you check your iPhoto library or Photos library to see if they were there?
