storage problem

I have a 16 gig ipad mini and the system is showing only 2 gig left. Now if I total up the apps storage which comes to 2 gig, and I have 33 pics and no music, why am I left with so little space?

Perhaps you've got some movies on there which could certainly eat away at the space.

Please provide some more specific information, e.g. if you sync or backup w/ iTunes on a computer, then cable the device and look at the storage bar graph - see the first pic below, i.e. my 64 GB iPad Air 2 plugged into my MBPro - just over half of my device's storage is filled w/ the items shown - hover over the color blocks to see what each may be?

OR, on your iPad, go to Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (under the Storage category) which will generate the second image shown below - let us know what is taking up your own storage.

In the meantime, 'Reset' your iPad (hold down the ON-OFF & HOME buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, release and allow the device to reboot - this will do no harm) - might just 're-adjust' your storage figures or not - please post back to the same thread. Dave
