Please someone tell me how to see the WD that I have plugged into the USB port on the Time Capsule. Do not see it in Shared... thanks!

Does the WD require formating Mac OS Extended (Journaled)? Connect to whatever Mac you have and see what Disk utility says about the drive.

Thanks ... the WD 2Tb USB drive I purchased on Amazon was made for the iMac no formatting needed already set up to run on the OS.

That doesn't sound good. Have you tried different cables to see if that makes a difference.
