Another wake from sleep problem

Mac Mini late 2012 running 10.10.4

I can wake from sleep with wired keyboard, but no response from keyboard when trying to type password.
Any ideas anyone?

Try unplugging and plugging the keyboard. Try shutting down the Mac Mini and restarting it. If that does not work do you have another keyboard you can try?

I tried messing with keyboard USBs but no luck. There is also a strange fix on the web from a previous occasion when this happened. Use the keyboard with a USB extension lead.
Tried that as well, but it didn't work.
As this has happened straight after installing 10.10.4, my guess is there is an issue with the keyboard driver.
