Not sure if anyone else saw this…but it seems that Apple has updated the policy on battery replacements for notebook computers. The update says that if a notebook with a built-in battery falls below 80% life remaining during the Applecare warranty period…the battery will be replaced for free.
Of course to get to 80% battery life left on a battery...this is supposed to happen around 1000 battery cycles. So with the standard 12 month Applecare it may be pretty hard to do this. But for folks who work on battery power a lot…and have the 3 year Applecare…this could be possible.
Sounds like pretty cool extra Applecare benefit!
