http://www.mywifiext.net/welcome.htm has taken over

I recently set up a Netgear wifi enhancer on the upper floor of our house to eliminate a blind spot in my son's bedroom. Every time I try to access an online newspaper I have subscribed to I get http://www.mywifiext.net/welcome.htm in the search panel and receive a 404 - File directory not found. It is very frustrating. Any ideas anybody?

I can tell you the wifi extender is not extending your network. I would suggest going through the setup again. I am not familiar with that extender but I do know it has to have the ip address of your router or modem (or what ever is giving you access to the internet.) plus the ip address of your gateway which could also be your router/modems ip address or an ip address provided by your service provider which can be found in the settings of your router/modem.

Try the setup again for the extender.
