Hello folks,
I'm opening this thread because it's a while now that I have this problem with my MacBook Pro.
Basically, whenever i execute some trackpad gestures or so (ex: swiping between desktops, mission control, pressing spacebar to enlarge a document preview or even switching a video to full screen) my macbook restart.
I noticed that this problem happened after my first update to Maverick (at that time my macbook restarted and I lost my HD.. Have no clue if it was just a coincidence though).
Yesterday I initialized my Macbook e reinstalled the software from DVD (had snowleopard, don't exactly know why it downloaded Yosemite) and transfer back - manually - just the my personal files (Adobe projects, images, docs.. But any system files).
I was hoping that doing so would mean saying goodbye to my problem, but it's not been so.. Infact it already restarted some times since yesterday for the same reasons listed before.
So I called the Apple costumer service that made me run some tests by phone but even so they couldn't figure out if it's about a software or hardware problem (because they said to me that one of the files that I brought back could be the source of the issue) but they told me that it might even be because of my battery (very old one, around 2300 cycles), my video or graphic card.
Now, before to take my buddy to an AppleStore I first wanted to hear the opinion of users.. Maybe I will be able to avoid some expenses!
So here I am asking if any of you had similar problems and if so if they menaged to resolve them and how.
Thank you!
P.s. I hope this is the right section. Since I didn't know if it was an hardware or software issue i picked this section (mostly because I hope it's software issue, i guess!) and also forgive my english, but I'm italian.
