Checked usage finding Home & Lock Screen using 94% last 24 hours. How do I correct?

2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
We're not going to be much help without knowing first which iPhone you have and what version of iOS it's running. Also, 94% usage from home and lock screen doesn't make any sense.

It sounds like you are leaving your phone unlocked and sitting on the home screen.
If you are having that issue I would either lock the phone or set it to autolock to lock the phone.
Try a software restore and if that does not work I would contact apple and see about getting a repair or replacement device.

Upon your advice, I have set up autolock. I have a feeling that will do the trick. If not, I shall follow the rest of your recommendations. Thank you so much.
